JAMALA WILL GIVE A UNIQUE CONCERT AT ALFA JAZZ FEST
Jamala will become one of headliners of Alfa Jazz Fest international jazz festival (Lviv, Ukraine). The singer’s performance will be held on June 28 at the main stage named after Eddie Rosner and will be dedicated to the Day of Constitution of Ukraine. Especially for the festival, Jamala has prepared a unique program called “The Soul of Jamala”.
The singer’s performance will consist of two parts. During the first one Jamala, accompanied by a jazz quartet, will perform compositions from different years, jazz standards and Crimean Tatar folk songs, and in the second part she will sing the songs from the new album “Breath” (2015).
The program of “The Soul Of Jamala” will be performed only once at Alfa Jazz Fest 2016. In addition to the permanent band serving the singer, the concert will be attended by such famous jazz musicians as Yukhym Chupakhin (piano), Denys Moroz (bass, harmonica), Serhii Balalaiev (drums), Dmytro Bondarev (trumpet, flugelhorn), Orhan Agabeyli (percussion), Shevket Zmorka (accordion), Ruslan Bolatov (piano) and Armen Kostandian (duduk). For the first time Jamala performed at Alfa Jazz in 2013 presenting her album “All Or Nothing”.
This year Jamala is the first ever Ukrainian musician who is performing at the stage named by Eddie Rosner, the main concert venue of the festival. The ticket price will be quite democratic (UAH 100 to 300), which will make them accessible to all music lovers.
The live broadcast of Jamala’s concert on the music channel M1, as well as on YouTube is planned.
